Edit - or the last jump with the filter on may be more than your current range. Hopefully with a full tank you can do a couple of jumps without sweating.

Fuel usage is exponential to jump range so 2-4 short jumps of distance 1 will be less fuel than a long jump of distance 2 however the 2 ling jumps will be substantially faster.
