Galectin-4
WebGalectin 4, or GAL-4, is another member of the Galectin family. Galectins are carbohydrate binding proteins that appear important in cell-cell contact, cell migration, and cell to cell signaling in both normal and disease (cancerous) tissues. Galectin 4 differs from its sister family members in the range of carbohydrate substrates that it binds.
